LAUTECH NEC suspends members for financial misappropriation

The National Executive Council, NEC, of LAUTECH Alumni suspended 3 of her executive members who were caught complicit in various cases of fund misappropriation.

This decision was made at a meeting held on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 in Yenagoa, Bayelsa The suspended members of the Executive are culpable of charges of financial misappropriation, recklessness and abuse of office.

The affected members are Mr Femi Akindele, National Vice president, Mr Charles Farayola, National Vice president (North) and Mr Idowu Adeniji, Social Director.      
   
NEC frowns at every action of any of her members targeted at bringing disrepute to the name of the association. LAUTECH Alumni is a noble association that has a great reputation globally.                                

The decision was taken as a result of a petition filed and submitted by the National President on the 4th of June,2017.

He solicited for the assistance of NEC to recover all monies and assets of the association. The meeting had in attendance all the chapter chairmen and her members nationwide except Ogun state.    

NEC having gone through the activities of the association unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Mr Babajide Bewaji  and asked him to shun distraction and hate campaign being sponsored from some quarters.

The body also constituted a committee to look into the activities of fundlautech with a view to harmonize and form a formidable synergy in the interest of our alma mata.  

Also discussed at the meeting were strategies to be adopted in  formulating a sustainability plan for the school,  as the school will be reopened in few weeks time.

It has become imperative to fashion out practicable means of building means of sustainable peace and development in the institution.

Among those present at the meeting as observers were Tunde Ajayi-Ope, Ropo Egbeleke and Sola Kolawole - initiators of  Fundlautech project.

We also have in attendance the former Executive members of the association in persons of Mr. Akeem Kareem and Mr. Olusola Fatokun.
